Move OT is a proudly South Australian owned and operated provider of Occupational Therapy services, delivering both in-clinic and community-based support across Metropolitan Adelaide and Regional South Australia, including the Yorke Peninsula.

Founded in 2020 by Stuart Burgoyne, Move OT was built on the belief that Occupational Therapy should be delivered with expertise, empathy, and a down-to-earth approach.

Every assessment we conduct is tailored to the individual, ensuring that our recommendations and therapy plans align with each client’s unique needs, goals, and lifestyle. Stuart completed his Bachelor of Applied Science (Occupational Therapy) in 2006 at The University of South Australia.

Stuart brings a unique perspective to the field of occupational therapy with a diverse background that includes experience in both the healthcare and retail industries. Before becoming an Occupational Therapist, Stuart worked as a qualified Butcher and managed several Butcher shops throughout Adelaide. This combination of experience has given Stuart a unique and practical approach to his work, allowing him to work effectively with a diverse range of clients, from NDIS participants to corporate businesses.

Stuart has over 18 years experience in the Work cover and corporate sector, including Medico-Legal assessments, Return to work, Job Analysis, Job Dictionary, Ergonomic assessments and Pre-employment assessments.

Stuart’s clients both personal and corporate, benefit from his ability to understand their needs and develop customized solutions that work for them. With a commitment to providing high-quality care and a dedication to ongoing learning and development, Stuart is passionate about helping his clients achieve their goals and live their best lives.

Dillon completed his degree in Occupational Therapy (Honours) at The University of South Australia in 2023.

Dillon originally began working with Move OT as an OT Assistant in 2021. Dillon has experience in working with clients of various ages as both a mentor and therapy assistant for NDIS participants. This included implementing community integration plans for people with ASD, as well as assisting SCI, TBI, and stroke clients to regain their independence in daily activities they enjoyed prior to injury and achieve a better quality of life.

Dillon conducted his final year placements in various settings, including Hampstead Rehabilitation Centre’s stroke/general rehabilitation ward and within rural residential aged care in Port Lincoln. He also conducted a community development project within SA Health around increasing awareness of healthy brain ageing within older adults.

Dillon’s background experience within the hospitality industry and 2 years of volunteer work abroad have further helped to understand the importance for a holistic and personal approach to care.

Sarah completed her degree in Occupational Therapy (Honours) at The University of South Australia in 2023.

Sarah originally began working with Move OT as an OT Assistant in 2023. Originally from the Southern Yorke Peninsula, Sarah’s journey led her to Adelaide to pursue her studies. Growing up on the family farm, Sarah has a genuine connection to rural life. She actively contributes to her local community, especially through her involvement in sporting clubs. Understanding the challenges faced by country people in accessing healthcare has been a driving force for Sarah, making it a cause close to her heart, this contributed to her returning to the SYP for work. Her special interest lies in developing functional skills, particularly with older adults.

Sarah has valuable experience as a disability support worker, collaborating with clients of all ages and disabilities. Her role involved assisting individuals in accomplishing daily activities. Additionally, Sarah volunteered in Fiji, where she empowered youth in a rural village, emphasizing healthcare awareness, while also learning about a new culture and way of life.

Sarah is currently accepting referrals in the Mid and Southern Yorke Peninsula.

Jacob completed his degree in Occupational Therapy (Honours) at the University of South Australia in 2024.

During his studies, he completed a range of clinical placements, including one with Move OT in his final year. He also gained valuable experience in the Geriatric Evaluation and Management ward at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital and contributed to a community project focused on developing group therapy programs for children and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

Prior to his career in Occupational Therapy, Jacob worked as a swimming instructor, supporting both children and adults in building confidence and essential life skills in the water. His work included coaching high-level athletes and providing lessons for NDIS participants, highlighting his ability to connect and communicate effectively with people from all walks of life.

Jacob brings a calm, client-centred approach and is passionate about helping individuals achieve meaningful goals through occupational therapy.

Wesley completed his degree in Occupational Therapy (Honours) at the University of South Australia in 2025.

Wesley originally began working with Move OT as an OT Assistant in 2023. Originally from the Clare Valley, Wesley moved to Adelaide to pursue his studies. Wesley is passionate about promoting physical activity and mental wellbeing. He firmly believes that maintaining a balance between physical and mental health is essential for a fulfilling life. Wesley promotes the positive impact of engaging in sports and physical activities on overall wellbeing.

Wesley spent his final year of placements gaining hands-on experience in diverse clinical environments. From the brain injury rehabilitation unit at the Repat Health Precinct to metropolitan aged care, Wesley has developed a versatile skillset and a deep commitment to providing high-quality care in both acute and community settings

Prior to his career in Occupational Therapy, Wesley gained valuable skills and work ethic working as a chef in the fast-paced hospitality industry. With several years of experience, he learned the importance of teamwork, effective communication, and exceptional customer service. Wesley’s work in hospitality taught him how to thrive in a cooperative environment, where teamwork, quick decision-making and adaptability are crucial.
